<p>Hassan Allam Utilities alongside Masdar (Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company) and Infinity Power signed an agreement with Egypt’s New and Renewable Energy Authority to secure land to build a 10 GW capacity onshore wind farm in Egypt, set to be one of the largest in the world.</p>
<p>The signing was witnessed by the Egyptian Prime Minister, HE Moustafa Madbouly, HE Dr. Sultan Al Jaber, UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, HE Dr Mohamed Shaker El-Markabi, Minister for Electricity and Renewable Energy, Hassan Allam, CEO of Hassan Allam Holding, Amr Allam, Co-Chief Executive Officer of Hassan Allam Holding, Dalia Wahba, CEO of Hassan Allam Utilities, Mohamed Jameel Al Ramahi, Chief Executive Officer of Masdar, and Nayer Fouad, Chief Executive Officer of Infinity Power.</p>
<p>The landmark wind project will produce 47,790 GWh of clean energy per year and reduce around 9% of Egypt’s annual carbon emissions by displacing 23.8 million tonnes of carbon dioxide annually. The wind farm will also help Egypt meet its strategic objective of sourcing 42% of its energy from renewables by 2030. The 10 GW plant will save the North African nation an estimated US$ 5 billion in natural gas costs a year.</p>

<p>Siemens Mobility, together with its consortium partner Hassan Allam Construction, is honored to announce that it has been awarded the Abu Dhabi – Sohar Design and Build Railway Systems and Integration contract by Oman – Etihad Rail, a joint venture co-owned by the two countries to deliver this network. Siemens Mobility and Hassan Allam Construction will deliver the design, build and integration of the ETCS Level 2 signaling, telecom and power supply systems over the 303-kilometer-long Abu Dhabi – Sohar railway link. The signaling solutions are state-of-the art and desert-proof. This project marks the first-ever cross-country railway network in the Middle East and Arab world.</p>

<p>As part of a vision to connect the different GCC nations through a Rail Network, the project connects to and shall be fully integrated into the current and proposed Regional GCC railway network. The UAE &#8211; Oman Railway network (Hafeet Rail) will connect the port of Sohar in the Sultanate of Oman to the UAE National Railway network at Abu Dhabi, a network which connects all the seven emirates of the UAE up to the border of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Through this historic project, both countries aim to ease the practice of cross-border trade and raise the efficiency of the supply chain system by linking commercial ports and economic zones to the railway network and enhancing commercial and social connectivity between the two countries. The project also aims to link industrial hubs between the two nations and enhance the effectiveness of logistical services, as well as the expansion of different industrial sectors, economic activity, and tourism.</p>

<p>Our comprehensive scope of work includes the construction of the Damietta breakwater spanning approximately 3600 meters, featuring core, filtration, protection, and armor layers, supplemented by tetrapods and precast concrete cubes. Supplying 1,556,211 cubic meters of crushed rocks &#8220;Dolomite&#8221; in various sizes, alongside concrete tetrapods and cubes.</p>
<p>Aligned with Egypt&#8217;s vision to become a global trade and logistics hub, this project underscores Hassan Allam Holding&#8217;s commitment to expanding its portfolio in ports infrastructure, solidifying our position as the partner of choice.</p>

<p>Expanding upon our initial scope of civil construction works covering a built-up area of 61,128 m2, our additional scope encompasses all Secondary Infrastructure and inground services for the Marina Hotel. This includes roads &#038; paving, irrigation network, electrical MV network, ELV/ICT/GSM containment works, as well as all other utilities, alongside external signage and wayfinding installations.</p>
<p>This project comes as part of our ongoing projects in Amaala, which include key hospitality projects, medical wellness resorts, and several luxury hotels that are underway. <p>The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development <a href="https://www.ebrd.com/home">(EBRD)</a>, in collaboration with <a href="https://www.meridiam.com/about-us/">Meridiam</a> and Hassan Allam Utilities (HAU), are raising capital in HAU Energy BV, a new platform established to invest in renewable energy projects primarily in Egypt and potentially other countries in Africa.</p>
<p>The investment will promote private sector participation in the Egyptian power sector. It will also facilitate the government’s decarbonisation plans by expediting the roll-out of renewable energy projects and contribute to Egypt’s green energy transition.</p>
<p>This endeavor stands as a cornerstone project under the 10 GW renewables programme of Egypt’s EBRD-led energy pillar of the Nexus on Water, Food and Energy (NWFE) initiative. Launched at COP27 in 2022, this initiative signifies a pivotal commitment towards sustainable policy engagement, strategically crafted to align with the aspirations of the government of Egypt. All the projects will follow strict and best environmental and social practices, building on the partners’ recognised experience and expertise in this area.</p>
<p>Amr Allam, Co-CEO of Hassan Allam Holding, commented, “We are very happy with our partnership with the EBRD and Meridiam. <p>This project is set to be the largest of its kind for wind energy production in the Middle East and one of the largest onshore wind energy projects globally. The consortium will work during the project’s development phase to complete site studies and secure project financing in the Gulf of Suez and Jabal Al-Zeit regions.</p>
<p>Upon completion, the project will reduce 2.4 million tons of carbon dioxide emissions annually and provide electricity to approximately 1,080,000 households.</p>


In the presence of H.E. Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister of Egypt, H.E. Dr. Mohamed Shaker, Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy of Egypt, Hassan Allam Utilities, alongside ACWA Power signed a 25-year land usufruct agreement with Egypt’s New and Renewable Energy Authority for a 1.1 GW Wind Energy project in Egypt, representing an investment of up to USD 1.5 billion.

<p>Our team is making incredible progress in the Cairo Metro Line 4 project.</p>
<p>As part of our efforts to enhance Egypt&#8217;s transportation sector, our team is leading the construction of 3 of the 12 Metro Stations this project encompasses. Spanning from Hadaek AL Ashgar in 6th October City to El Mesaha Station at Al Haram Street, the new Metro Line 4 has a total length of around 14 km.</p>
<p>Our team is currently in the process of the assembly of the Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM), a crucial part of this monumental project, creating seamless, interconnected transportation networks that enhance connectivity, alleviate congestion, and foster economic growth.</p>
<p>These efforts leave a positive and lasting impact on the nation&#8217;s infrastructure and the daily lives of its citizens.</p>


As part of our efforts to enhance Egypt's transportation sector, our team is leading the construction of 3 of the 12 Metro Stations this project encompasses.
